How To Sequence A Foghorn Bass

In this freemium video, Guzi demonstrates how he sequences foghorn bass sounds into a drum & bass track idea. By combining 5 different sounds, he creates a full 32 bar drop section.

The sounds are put together in a call and response style, with a few sounds filling in the gaps such as a simple sine wave patch created in Ableton’s Operator synth.

Guzi applies some filter automation to one of the sounds to make it darker, and also demonstrates how he automates the comb filter within Native Instruments Massive in order to create a switch up after 16 bars of the drop.
