This is the first in a series of tutorials covering my process of writing tunes. This month we focus on the intro; Creating a live organic feel with the hi hats, showing the progression from a simple straight pattern to a more interesting pattern and feel as we build the intro. Real time sound design in both Ableton’s Analog synth and Xfer Serum. We create a pad and melodic sounds to suit the intro. Creating fx for impact and atmosphere. Adding rides and cymbals for impact, depth and percussion.
All files including the end result Ableton project file and all sounds/samples used.
